Geography 103
Introductory Geography
This course reviews the basic concepts and vocabulary
of geography. It conducts a survey of the fundamental subfields of geography including cartographic (mapping)
and spatial science, earth science (physical geography), culture-environment
traditions (cultural geography and nature-society), demography (population
geography), and political and economic geography.

Report and "Heads-Up"
Heads-up: Our second midterm exam is
Friday, October 22.
Lectures have fallen behind schedule so the old lecture schedule should
be interpreted accordingly. A revised
lecture schedule has been developed that will be followed for the remainder
of the semester.
Dr. Janiskee will present the guest lecturer on Monday and Wednesday, Nov.
8 and 10. Those lectures will be on Economic Geography (Chapter
10) as noted on the lecture schedule.
