Funds are available for student travel to the 41st Binghamton Geomorphology Symposium in Columbia, SC. We anticipate granting approximately 20 awards of $200 to help defray travel costs for qualified graduate students.  

Qualifications:  You must be a full-time graduate student in a graduate program of an accredited university.  Preference will be given to students who are presenting posters or specializing in topics related to the conference theme.  You must be registered and attend the conference to receive payment of the award.

Applications: To be considered for a travel award, fill out the questionnaire (pdf), get your advisor's signature on it, and send it to the address below. The deadline for receipt of applications to be considered has been extended to Friday, October 8th, but we will begin making awards after Friday, September 24th.

Mechanics of awards. Processing of applications and notification of recipients will begin shortly after September 24th so that you can make travel arrangements.  Students must be registered and attend the conference to qualify for payment of the award. You need not be registered at the time of your application, but your registration fees will be based on when you register, so we recommend that you register early to reduce registration rates.  You must be in attendance at the meeting to collect your check.  Sorry, no advanced payments.
