Lab Objectives:
This course is comprised of a lecture section and a lab section. The lecture section is to provide the background knowledge about various meteorological processes and weather phenomena, while the lab section is to provide an opportunity to gain practical experience in the application of this knowledge to "real-world" situations.

What is Expected?
Please read the appropriate lab book chapters before coming to each lab period. On the first page of each lab is a list of required materials; please bring any required materials with you to class. Your TA will introduce each lab exercise and then will assist you as you complete the lab. You may work individually or in small groups, and are encouraged to complete labs directly in the lab book. If a lab can't be finished within the class period, it should be completed for homework before the next class meeting.

Evaluation:
Students are expected to complete each lab and understand the material presented. Your lab TA will provide feedback on your work. The ideas and understanding of the lab material will be evaluated with quizzes given during the next lab period. In addition to the quizzes, there will be three lab exams during the semester. Lab quizzes and exams collectively are worth 215 possible points.
