I am a member of the American Philosophical Association,

the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Philosophie,

the Deutscher Hochschulverband, and the Friends of the DAAD

 

With specifically philosophical interests, I am a member of the Kant-Gesellschaft and the North American Kant Society (both of them provide useful information about Kant scholarship and electronic ressources, including Kant’s texts)

 

…as much for the professionals.

 

There are two memberships that I hold, but neither of them is of philosophical or even academic interest, at least not for me.

The first institution reliably fights „for a world without hunger and poverty”.

The other cares about the environment I feel the strongest attachment to.

 

And – these are not institutions I am a member of, but nonetheless you might be

… interested in where you can purchase handmade pottery, tableware as well as
   fine ceramics, and by the way please my brother.

 

… interested in where they play „real” football

 

… interested in where they brew „real” beer
