Dr. R. Charles Lawrence, a postdoctoral fellow, has recently completed a study investigating the effects of developmental ethanol exposure on social play and neuronal activity in the rat. He will begin investigating changes in mu-opioid receptor expression in rat brains following perinatal ethanol exposure.

Rebecca Gazda has just completed her first year of graduate school. She has been leading a project to test attentional set-shifting in rats exposed to alcohol during development. Becki is also beginning her qualifying project looking at susceptibility to addiction following developmental alcohol exposure.

Ryan Newsom, a former undergraduate member of the lab, is currently serving as our lab technician. Ryan is in the process of evaluating graduate programs while being actively involved in current research. He is in the process of publishing his undergraduate thesis on developmental THC exposure.

Codi Black has been a member of the lab for the past 2 years and is currently beginning work on her honor’s thesis involving a rat model for autism. She has also been involved in the development of the attentional set-shifting task.

H. Cale Bonner recently finished helping with the neuronal activity and social play experiment and will now turn his attention to his Honors thesis. Cale will be investigating time course of neuronal expression of the CB1 receptor.
