Simon Tarr made his first film at the age of 8, a science fiction epic drawn out on long strip of sandwich bags. The movie premiered on the wall of his bathroom, using a lamp inside a shoebox as the projector with a magnifying glass on the end of a toilet paper tube as the lens. The film completely melted in seconds.
Since then he has been an advocate and activist for independent media makers for nearly a decade. His ten short films and two features have screened on every continent (yes, even Antarctica), and are available on Netflix, Amazon.com, and dozens of other venues.
Currently, Professor Tarr teaches game design, animation and comprehensive digital art and design as he continues to create work that expands cinema into a pivotal interactive and performative experience
